sticky zipper

sticky zipper
The zips on my boots are getting sticky. google says graphite, silicon spray or beeswax. if they were metal I'd use graphite but not sure on plastic. mixing them could get messy. anyone done something that has worked?

A bit of vasoline will work well on the plastic.
