Handlebar Risers for ZX6R

Post by zx6rider »

Has anyone got or put risers on a ZX6R?

If so, where did you get them from and how much did they cost, also did it relieve the preasure on your hands much?

Was thinking about it for my 96 zx6r, all thoughts appreciated. :)

Heli bars or something similar, not MX bars.

From memory they're not available for a 6 as old as yours - I think they were only made for 2000 onwards zx6rs. I personally think the best way to relieve pressure on your hands and wrists is to firstly relax, then use your stomach muscles to hold your weight instead of using your wrists. The bike will handle better as a result too.

in direct combination with the above try squeezing your knees in more against the tank should relieve pressure from the wrists.

try ebay in the states, you need "heli bars"....or Easyrider Imports in OZ can get them for you, I believe he is a sponsor and is based in Sydney.

when you order them ask them to also enclose a "take-Away Muggacino" of HTFU !!
