Just another newbie!
Just thought i'd say hi and introduce myself, My names Sheryn (or Shez), i'm 19 year old female from Sydney's City/Inner West (Drummoyne area). Always been interested in riding but could never afford one until recently starting my new job at Taronga Zoo. 5 years working in a supermarket (implies shitty money) plus school and a car to pay for never helped the situation, but now that i got the money i went off and bought myself a lime 2009 Ninja 250R. Havnt got my L's yet but have them booked for the 17th and 18th of December (fingers crossed!!). Been on the site now for a couple days and everyone has been really great! Looking forward to seeing people around and giving a few head nods!

Re: Just another newbie!
Hey Shez, I read your thread on the exhaust mod, windscreen etc! Great bike you've picked up and a few of us in the area as well. I loved the sound of the Yoshi slip on which meant cars would hear you!!! Not too loud that your ears were ringing after a ride also... Wednesday night at the Sawdust hotel at Gladesville if your ever looking for something to do!
Im sure as a 19 year old female, the KSRC crew will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have!
Probably even offer to help out when they can...
Welcome

Re: Just another newbie!
i heard on the grape vine that the Ninja was named the Ninja cause you don't hear it coming, usually i'm the quiet type with no grand entrances or attention seeking but, with my life possibly at risk with the stupid drivers out there, i want them to hear me coming a mile away! And it's probably you fellas i hear tearing around my streets at 2am on a friday and saturday night haha! And just to let you all know i am one (of the rare) courteous drivers who ALWAYS looks twice for my fellow bikey folk and doesnt try to ram you off the road! And boy have i seen it happen!

Welcome aboard
I've only been here a week or two myself but I have found there are a few similarities to Taronga so you should feel at home

Tell me about it, atleast it takes you (if you lane split) a good 10-15 minutes to go down the damn road, it takes me a good 40 in the car, probably seen you ride past, i'll keep my eye out for you, well atleast somebody on a bike, who could possibly be you
Never heard of the Sawdust hotel, i've got tafe so won't be able to come, another time though?? and besides, i couldnt possibly turn up in a car, i'd have to ride my bike, and since i can't legally ride yet then i couldnt go. give me a month or so!
