This is really funny, but I thought I'd give it a go, cosidering my range has been decreasing over the last year or so.

I'm almost embarrassed to say that it actually doubles the range on mine. I honestly thought it'd be a load of BS. I'm really interested to hear how it works.

Havent tried it with mine yet and mine has a very short range so should be a good test. As for explaining it... I know there would be a high concentration of iron in the brain for respiration... Wouldna thought could possibly do that though! Stuffed if I know! It's gotta be neurons acting like copper wiring surely... There's a new trick for this years science fair.

Old car alarms used to use Infra Red wireless transmission, but new ones use radio frequency modulation (I assume). The water content of your body/head must work as an antenna and amplify the signal, just like putting a bigger antenna on your pc wireless card or your tv antenna. I know when my AM radio at work gets dicky I just put my arm near it if I wanna hear something, it comes clean. Water is a good conductor or rf I believe, and that's mostly what we're made of.

Seeing we're about 90% salted water, your skin is normally not 100% dry and we're anything from just over 5' tall (me, Colette and Kaz) to absolutely huge (everyone else) we're just a big antenna.

Amplification would require an input of energy, something we're not doing in this situation...however if we hooked up a car battery to ourselves then the game changes..but Mr Obama has just said the Yanks aren't allowed to do this any more, so maybe we shouldn't either  .
