ZX2R Shudders and stalls, fuel line problems ???

I owned a Honda CBR1000F (shameful I know) and it had a very similar prob. Took me days of dismantling to finally figure out some prick had swapped the vacuum line around on the fuel tap. (vacuum safety valve) When engine started it was actually sucking or blowing the valve shut and not letting fuel through but when engine was off it would let enough fuel through to run for 30 secs or so.!
Does it have a vacuum valve on the tap?

try both fuels and see which one it performs better on, i cant see why it will hurt it. just dont put E10 in it!

My ZX2R does that shudder and stall thing...apparently it is running 'rich'. It starts to make this 'whurr whurr whurr' noise as it is chugging along and then 'blump' nothing. I am booked in for a service on Wednesday and am replacing both the clutch and choke cable, plates, springs, spark plugs and new air and oil filters. Hopefully this will also solve my dilemma as currently I can only ride for about 45 minutes before a forced stall-stop. (Scarey for a learner). Your story gives me hope that after Wednesday it will be a new machine.
