Re: "Spirited' Austrian riding a ZX-6R
Why is he on the right hand side if it's in Australia?
No wonder people kill themselves if they ride like that. You could see them running wide on a few corners and overtaking at stupid speeds around blind corners. I found myself cringing at the thought of what could happen. I have done the odd silly thing on the road from time to time but overtaking at 250 around corners is fucking nuts.

I suspect he's not going anywhere near as fast as his speedo would indicate - I say dramatically changed gearing. He's passing cars showing upwards of 200km/h and really not passing them *that* quickly.

Re: "Spirited' Austrian riding a ZX-6R
I've never seen speeds like those, but......... looks that fast to me!
At 3:06 he overtakes that car showing 265kph, in top, and the shift light is on!
That's 165mph, and the consensus on this site
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum ... -zx6r.html
is that's about approx normal indicated top... some to indicated 176
Austria's could be pretty cold - lots of dense cold air to make engine go boom boom fast??

Oh, 10 seconds after I post I had an "ohhhh" moment. Speedo says what the drive shaft says BEFORE the final drive (as you said Dave).... hrm, dunno, like i said, don't know what 265 looks like

Re: "Spirited' Austrian riding a ZX-6R
regardless the speedo isnt accurate at that speed. Minus about 20% and you should be in the right area
