Post by 67-FKD »

Hey guys

I had a incident on the Z last night involving a falcon.

Anyhow to cut a long story short my Carbon Fibre Micron Muffler is in pieces in Landsborough and i hear they don't make them any more, so now im after suggestions of a new pipe to get....

I really like my LeoVince SBK pipe.

It has a real nice note & looks the goods too.

To explain the situation a little....

I took a direct hit to my leg from the falcon, you can see a little bit of falcon front bar jammed into the bracket too

so now you can see why i need a new slip on haha, and a few other bits and pieces!

The old fella failed to give way, i was doing 80ish and he was doing 40ish, i was lucky to stay on the bike but then i bought it to a stop and jsut threw it in the grass and layed down and waited for a ambo.....

I just wish the Zed had a little more of a twitchy throttle, i was in top gear and gassed it to get out of his way but it didnt do a whole lol, i reckon on a 10 it would have been a different story (but i may have looped it lol)

I got no idea how i kept it upright but i think it may have been because i was leaning to the right coming out of my swerve and gassing it...

Ok a bit of a update, Akra dont make the carbon pipe anymore, and Jardine dont sell to dealers anymore, so they are both out :( Micron have coem to the party saying they will make me a custom one to my dimensions though :D

Still will consider the Leovince if they do a carbon version as well.
