A twist in the ole trye dilemma...

mate, looked at them today, funny thing is my rear is 99% worn (gone-ski) and front is 75 - 80% worn after both have done 11,000k's..it is certainly strange that my front didn't last longer, so Ill be changing them as a complete set this time round.

Fark, you got 11,000Km outta 2cts? I only got that out of the rear M3 (front hand plenty of meat left). I'm expecting the road 2 rear to wear out at the same time as the 2ct front - but only time will tell.

The power 2ct are great but they do let go in a hurry when you push a bit to hard but you have to push hard! They slide predictably but you don't get much warning that is is coming. Have fun on them.

You must be an "A" grader then Blue14, as I havn't managed to get them to let go apart from compromised surfaces or cold tyres???? I have also found them pretty easy to get a hold of once they do let go. Ask Pinchy, he witnessed one such incident from behind!!

In the twisties I try and ride the pace, easy on the brakes, easy on the power. Around town I read the road ahead and never hammer the brakes too hard - it's all about being smooth.

That is all we get around here latley and on the 14 I think it is more weight than pace that is tearing up front tyres. Fat bike + fat me = short tyre life. 5000 out of the rear is about right but I expected a fair bit more from the front. No A grader here.

Metzler m3s the last set i had 6500 rear 7000 front,Dunlop roadsmarts which is what i have been running for the last 3 sets 6-7000 front 8500-9000 rear. 11000 being it front or rear tyre aint going to happen for me.

OK, I didn't realise the road 2 was a 2ct as well. I have the harder road 2ct on the rear, and the softer Power 2ct on the front.

if u call the road 2, a road 2 and not a road 2ct then u cant confuse it with the power 2ct

people do it with the metzelers as well, Sportec M3 front and Roadtec Z6 rear...
