to add to that... even I am aware (I am usually completly in the dark when it comes to most current events, seeing as I never watch the news) that the police have been saying for a long time that they will confiscate cars from hoons. So he was forewarned

Does that mean if they catch you doing a wheelie they can confiscate your bike permanently? I'm all for dickheads doing dangerous stuff like horrendous speeds in built up areas having their cars taken, but the ambiguity of these hoon laws is a little disconcerting.

To clear things up, Vic laws are three occassions and your out.

1st hoon offense - confiscate vehicle for 24 hours and $$$ to get it back, plus usual fine/points

2nd offense, confiscate vehicle for 48 hours and $$$ to get it back, plus usual fine/points

3rd offense, confiscate vehicle permanently, plus usual fine/points

This guy must have had at least 4 if not 6 hooning offenses.

However, I am dubious about youtube/facebook videos as evidence. As proved very recently, these accounts can be hacked, and posts may not be those of the registered account (I believe Paris Hilton gets this a lot). Also, a digital picture/video must be only so many generations old, and there is no proof how many copies have been tranfered before being posted (generations are the file being transfered camera/memory card/computer/server/computer etc).

This guy is not as bad as the dork front page of the Herald Sun today, lost his arm crashing his car - two months later was charged with hoon driving twice in 90 minutes!

The copper that nabbed this fucktard was interviewed on 3 a double u this morning.
The local enforcement gave him more kicks in the arse than he was really entitled to and they spoke with his parents and mates in an endeavour to make him realise what a fuckwit he was. Still he continued and too bad so sad.
I'm all for the boys in blue - Fuck I would cheer for them if I ever saw one!
