WTF is with Gen Y fashion

Post by robracer »

WTF is with Gen Y fashion is it aint the goofy big glasses on females its pants down on the males

I cannot believe the non pleasant demeanour of young people these days that scamper about with their pants down,
what does this mean? they don't know how to dress themselves? they cant afford clothes that fit? They are just lazy shits? (my Guess)
I cant work out how why this is fashionable & what the statement is?
I just stopped at a servo before & there was this young bloke doing the tyres on his rice burner, he was squatting so of course that meant his shorts went down even further, lo & behold they rode down far enough to reveal what he had for breakfast in the form of a skidmark on his white Calvin's.
All I can say is what a farkin looser!
wish I had taken a photo to flog on youtube to show the world what this generation has bred :vom:

Rant over ..........Rob (generation X'r)

Ohhhh Mr Robstar don't you know it's the whole emo look, you know young sensative and emotional, the thing that I find amusing is it's not a good look, it's not even the least bit attractive, but hey I guess the 80s had big hair, fluro and so much more, I think each generation brings out some crazy new style some so far worse than others. :kuda: :kuda:

man wish you had gotten a photo of the skid mark though that is just priceless.

The pants thing gets me, it just got to be so uncomfortable. I've warned my kids (for what that's worth) that it will no be happening while they live in my house.

Other pet hates -

The Goth look - what's "cool" about looking like death warmed up?
The "unkempt" look - I saw a guy at the shopping centre the other day who must of taken at least an hour in making himself look like he didn't care how he looked - WTF.

And I bet our parents were saying the same about our 'fashion' statements too. How many 80s fo pars were there? New Romantics, big hair, ripped jeans, metallers in denim/leather/studs, hammer pants, criss cross jeans on backwards...

need go on

they are identity confused. its like wearing fluro in the 80's . the 70's fashion had its own quirky think. once you get past the late teen and early 20's you realize you are looking like a wannabe dick and start dressing appropriately.

unfortunately guys think wearing pink these days is manly. whatever happened to cuff links and bespoke suits.... im 22 btw

It means you're getting old, Rob

And I guess I am too, since I agree with ya. Whenever I spot the pants that are so far down, I can't tell how they're staying up, I do have a little chuckle. I also get a very juvenile urge to pants the poor dude, but usually restrain myself

And don't get dave started on emo's.

Generation Y? I have to deal with them at work..... a lot. I've got fillings older than some of them!

This is a generalisation, but I've found that they are Gen Y for a reason.

Y me?
Y isn't it someone elses fault?
Y can't I blame my parents?
Y are you picking on me?
Why, why, why?

There is that dick on the Shaun Micalef program representing Gen y that has the "unkempt" hair look. 6 times they cut to him and he was adjusting it so that it had just the right amount of " I dont care " about it.
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.
