me either.
Guys and girls wearing baggy jeans half-way down their arse is one thing.
Those that wear TIGHT jeans and have them sitting half-way down their arse make me gag! Looks like they've dropped a heavy load or something

A few years ago I had to accompany our pay master to the bank to provide security for her (that alone is a hugh joke) - on out return trip from the bank was a young lady in some spray-painted on jeans and a bright red thong poking out the top - with it's tag exposed. I was about to reach out and rip the tag off when the pay master slaped my hand and pushed me into a shop we were walking past muttering something about "inappropriate behaviour" etc....some people have no sense of humor :D

Back on topic...if this is an age thing then I'm getting old too. Whats wrong with properly fitting, clean clothes? How hard can it be? If I wore jeans exposing my arse I'd be booked for badly parking 2 volkswagons.......
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!

I agree entirely with the pants thing!!

Ridiculous style!

It would have taken balls Rob, but I would pay money for you to have walked up to the guy and said in a loud voice
"Hey mate, you can wear your pants however you like, but that big smear of shit on your undies is a really bad look, might want to learn to use toilet paper or start wearing nappies again"

The look on his face as he hiked his pants up and walked around holding them up would be priceless!

I think this style has come from the US, hip hop culture.

It amazes me how they can walk, some of the belt lines I've seen have been down around knee/low thigh!!!!!!!!!!

This is a generalisation, but I've found that they are Gen Y for a reason.

Y me?
Y isn't it someone elses fault?
Y can't I blame my parents?
Y are you picking on me?
Why, why, why?
Y not just shoot em?

There is that dick on the Shaun Micalef program representing Gen y that has the "unkempt" hair look. 6 times they cut to him and he was adjusting it so that it had just the right amount of " I dont care " about it.
Gold!!!

The pants down look goes with the loose O/size laceless sneakers ie African/american ex prisoners returning to their local neighbourhoods after serving their sentences would have their pants hanging around their arses and loose shoes with no laces .. This was as a result of the prison officers removing all BELTS and SHOELACES to prevent them hanging themselves 'inside' (sound familiar?) . By the time these prisoners got out they were so used to being dressed this way they carried it on after prison hence starting the 'fashion' as many young people would regard the ex con's as "GANGSTA'S" .
It is this "GANGSTA" look that gen Y is now trying so hard to emulate right down to the crappy grammar(refer Utube - any comments page!?)

As far as the 'gen Y' girlymen/sheblokes are concerned ... companies like revlon etc must be loving it!!!! They have surely doubled their profits as guys have not brought so much fucking make up and hair care product since Adam the Ants/Devo was fashionable!!! :kuda:

You should see the silly buggers trying to run around in PE lessons holding onto their pants so they don't fall down. bduh.gif If you were surrounded with this stupidity all day like I am I think a few of you would lose the plot. :axe: The other gangster look we see is rolling one leg of your pants up to just under the knee. It started in the states (of course) when drug dealers would do it to let people know they had stuff to sell. Now all the try hard gangster wanna bees do it because they think it makes them look cool. :?

csgup1 wrote:they are identity confused. its like wearing fluro in the 80's . the 70's fashion had its own quirky think. once you get past the late teen and early 20's you realize you are looking like a wannabe dick and start dressing appropriately.

Unfortunately guys think wearing pink these days is manly. whatever happened to cuff links and bespoke suits.... im 22 btw
*puts up hand* i had happy pants, tie dye fluro green and blue . Sure that was bad, but seriously some of the fashion statements over the years are messed up, a lot.
