Running the tracky as a naked

Post by haiiro99 »

I've been toying the idea of running the ZX6R as a naked bike at the track (after the frustration of how long it's taking to get the fairing and stuff repaired) and was looking for some input from people who know more than I.
Would there be any harm to the engine or performance if I run the bike without the air intake pods? I me, they look like resonators used to tune the intake noise but I wasn't sure if people have tried and found it to really kill off performance.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong but it sounds to me like you're talking about the ram-air induction tubes - I think you really really really want them.
If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.
