Getting an Ignition barrel off the top yoke.

Post by Glen »

Has anyone ever removed the ignition barrell from the tope yoke on either a 10 or anything else. I think they've got the security heads where they screw in and then snap off so they can't be easily removed. If so I presume you can get them easily enough with an easy out.

I'd just be interested whether anyones had a crack and is there an easier way?

Maybe Saturday.

I'm thinking I'll unbolt the yoke ,slip it off, turn it over drill and easy out the bolts that hold the barrell to the yoke, leave it all wired up and then screw it on to the new one.

Apparently unplugging the immobiliser means you have to stand on your head, rotate 360 degrees, repeat your Grandmothers maiden name backwards three times, while patting your head, turn the ignition key on and off three times, take the red key out, put the black key in, say five hail mary's, have a bex and a lie down and then you can start it.
