We looked at the LCD's but to us the blockines and ghosting was too much compared to how much the price difference was, you had to go full Hi Def to get a comparable pic to the Plasma. Best thing to do it watch the same thing on different tv's, take you time, bug the salesperson, ask lots of questions, be happy with what you get
But in saying that, if we could afford a LED we would certainly have bought one
They're awesome Disco.. I think the LCD's are only 12 month warranty too now (albeit one brand had three yrs - can't remember which - maybe Palsonic?)
Normal foxtel doesn't give a flash pic compared to what you see in the shop as it's not HD, but when you watch a movie it's great
Chris and I spent the first week just looking at the tv going how cool is that lol(worse problem we had was that the tv didn't fit in the unit, so I then had to buy a new unit, and put the old tv upstairs, and then I bought a tallboy to put it on so we could see it from bed, and then thought maybe I should buy a set top box for that one - so it ended up an expensive way to get a new tv

based off your responses there seems to be a leaning towards LCD but if we go Plas the choice will be obvious in a panasonic Viera.
