Re: tyres...
It has a 5.5" rim so I would guess you could, what sort of riding are you doing with it & is this just for bling of for a practical reason?

Re: tyres...
Good rubber at a cheap price would be ok........ But I don't like the sound of cheap rubber for track days..........

Re: tyres...
yeah but my oringinal Question is - will a 190 still fit on my old Budget bike - 94 ZX9R? it runs a 180.. I just don't know if there will be enough clearance in there... they are good sticky brand name tyres, off a work mate who used them for a few track days.. still heaps of tread left. I normally run sports touring type tyres, but want to give myself every chance of staying on the track

Re: tyres...
Yes.
Jonno has a 190 Shinko on the back of his 94 zx9r..
I use to run 190's on the back of my 98 zx9r which also has 5.5 inch rim (180)..

Re: tyres...
sounds like a good plan then... cheap tyres to tear up on a track... never been on a road race track before, so should be fun!!

Re: tyres...
Just make sure they're nice and warm before you hook into it, especially the first right hander at OP.mortaygo wrote:sounds like a good plan then... cheap tyres to tear up on a track... never been on a road race track before, so should be fun!!
Mortaygo, I'd been interested to know how you go with a 190 on the rear. I've always run the standard 180, but a 190 could be a nice alternative.

Re: tyres...
I run 190 rears on my zx7 which runs the same 5.5" rim as the B series 9 and they're fine. The next thing I'm going to try is jamming a 200 NTec on it

Re: tyres...
I'm sure I had a 190 on the back of my 98 ZX7 when I bought her new way back then.....
Why would you want a 190 as opposed to a 180. What are the benefits or drawbacks?

Re: tyres...
Are there any benefits of a wider tyre when doing track days?
More surface contact equals more corner speed, anything like that?
