thanks for the tips -
and a tip for FF 3.5 ...get the Adblock PLus add-on for FF
that way sites/pages will load even quicker
...without having to wait for Google or other counters or any ads to load
(you select what does/does not get loaded)
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

I've given up on IE and Firefox - using Google Chrome. Very fast and nice features

Not much - except for the geek.
It's fast for most pages - but doesn't yet have good plugin support to make it completely useful to the average joe.
It should get there though
I tried it a few weeks back - and went back to FF
If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.

Main feature is speed - lots of it. Fairly configurable when you tune it's config file - by hand.
Plugin support is not great yet but it's improving.
Someone say "geeK"....

Has anyone still got that old .gif file for downloading the Internet ? (Est. time 1,289,567 years) ??
I sent that once to my mate up in Palmwoods, he reckons it was the reason his computer took an enormous shit and stopped working !!!

OK, I'm a neanderthal when it comes to computers so please excuse my stupidity but what the fuck are plug ins? I sort of know what cookies are and some other stupid names you see getting thrown around in nerdish on forums and the like, but for some reason everyone assumes you should know what these names refer to.

the adobe in-browser pdf reader is a plugin, as is the googlebar that was so predominant on earlier versions of internet explorer.
If it hurts, you aren't doing it right.
