Where does the rectifier go?

Post by chicken0005 »

I have an '09 ZX6 and have just fitted a set of race glass. During this I removed the rectifier from the bike and can't find where it goes back on. Any help would be appreciated as it currently sits in an ad hoc side pocket of the race glass which is not ideal. A photo would be great! My email is william_evans@optusnet.com.au

Usually close to the battery, it changes alternating current to direct current to charge the battery.

Thanks for that. Given that the road fairings were removed to be replaced with the face glass, it explains why I have nowhere to mount it. On other bikes I've had it sate near the front of the bike like behind the radiator. Appreciate the help.

One last thing, how hot does the rectifier get? I've now got it in a pocket of the race glass with a little bit of air flow but not much.

On the 08 I've just got it floating around inside the race glass. I tied it up with cable ties though so it doesn't move around much
