60,000km on the clock, full service history. No rego. In good condition, no scratches, etc.
$8,000. Is this a good deal?

i would say if you plan on keeping the bike for a while. most of those k's will be touring so the engine should be fine.
if you plan on selling the bike after a few years , itll be nearing 100k and thats what people percieve the life of the bike. try and bargain him down even more if hes desperate to sell.

+ 1 on the K's........ Ok now but what happens when it's time for you to sell..............
Why no rego?????????? Just make sure you do all the usual checks and it's not a repairable write off etc..........

Re: 2006 ZX14R $8K?
Good point. I'm not even able to ride it yet, but I thought if it's a sweet deal, I could put it in the garage till I can ride it! Let my mates with their full license ride it on the weekends or something. But I'd prefer a zx10r (probably blasphemous here but maybe even a gixxer 1000) when I have my full license anyway. I think the 14 will just be too big for me.
And it's out of rego in like 2 weeks, so pretty much no rego.
If I can get him down to like $7500, I might consider it a bit more.

Clay
When your a month or so away from your full licence have a look then. There will always be a bargain at some point but in another years time $8K will probably get you a newer bike. It's alot of cash just sitting there chewing up rego and since your not licenced for it good luck getting insurance! You'll also get to test ride some options before you buy by then!!!

$8K no rego and you cant ride it and cant sell it when it gets to 90k on the clock
wait till you can ride on and find one with half the kays and rego for $10K or less and you are in front
