 the last black agv I bought was $800 (NO GRAPHICS) as it bumped the cost up too much, Owen not all helemets are made the same & I really think you get what you pay for when it comes to finish lining shape & size.

The heart one will get the Gaydar reading off the dial laddy..................

I like AGV's, although the current shell doesn't fit my head. Their cheaper models aren't that good though. I think you'll get much better value from a KBC or HJC for the same money. ie the cool KBC "race" jobby (the VR2R) is $339 with discount from MAW and it's a really nice feeling helmet. That's the one Chris got.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

well I best steer clear of setting off people's gaydars then... Best not to offend anyone!! Lol

I could spend $800 bux on a helmet but I choose not to. Not all helmets are built the same but if you buy an $800 dollar helmet then why not buy $1000 helmet. I believe to a certain extent that a 300 -400 buck helmet has the same structual integrity as any other helmet. I completely understand an $800 shoei will have better padding or lining than my $330 AGV but in my mind I'll take that as a trade off. I would not trade on safety but I codnt want anything more than I get from my current helmet... I can't really say anything annoys me about my helmet... It doesn't seem any worse than the $700 shoei I had before it.

The difference is not so much in the internal bits (although generally the more $$ the better the crash zones), but in the make-up of the external shell.

I think the K-3 is the replacement for the old GP-1 (off work atm and can't remember), the shell will most likely be a basic polycarb and not a tri comp.

but, ultimately, if you want it, then buy it 8)
