Im a little confused at the moment....
for the few years i have had my 06 636 i could of sworn all the lights come on when i turn the ignition on, recently i changed the battery as the standard one died and now my headlights only come on once the bike has started. Once running if i hit the kill switch lights go off also, but before i remember them staying on until i turned the key.
A quick read of my owners manual says that aussie model the lights are only supposed to come on when its running which is what its doing now... but that the european models the lights come on when the ignition key is in the on position....
While i dont mind what its doing now as its good for battery life, does anyone know how to switch between the two modes? aussie/european? it was in euro mode before and me changing the battery has somehow reset the computer... anyone heard of this before?
Do you lights come on with the ignition?

My parkers come on with the ignition and the lights once she's started.
When I turn off, the lights stay on until I turn off the key though

post 1995 all bikes in Australia turn on the headlight automatically after engine has been cranked.
Then stay on until the ignition is turned off.

Mine is as described except my headlight turns off if i hit the kill switch and the ignition is still in the 'on' positionThis motorcycle adopt the daylight system and have a
headlight relay in the relay box. The headlight does not
go on when the ignition switch and the engine stop switch
are first turned on. The headlight comes on after the starter
button is released and stays on until the ignition switch is
turned off. The headlight will go out momentarily whenever
the starter button is pressed and come back on when the
button is released.
