Pair caught drink driving three times in three hours in Port Melbourne, police say
A MELBOURNE couple is facing drink driving charges after the pair both failed breath tests when they were pulled over three times within three hours on the same street, police say.
Officers pulled over the couple's Mazda for the first time at 12.20am today on Montague Street, Port Melbourne, and found a 37-year-old man failed a breath test with a reading of 0.129.
Police noticed that his 27-year-old female passenger also appeared under the influence, so they warned her not to drive.
About an hour later, police pulled over the same car and found the woman was now behind the wheel on Montague Street. She was breath-tested and returned a reading of 0.112.
Two hours later, the car drove past police on the same street again.
This time, the man was back driving.
He was breath tested and refused to accompany police back to the station.
