Why would I buy genuine Honda valves over other ones (Pro-X and Kibblewhite are two brands I've got available to me)? OEM are more expensive, and they'reall made of steel aren't they? Also I need a new cam chain and they are available aftermarket as well.
Reasons backing your opinion (like "I've worked in the industry" or "Because my bike has flowers on it") will help me decide when I end up spending some money.
Cheers.

Yes they are all steel. So are all chains steel but a DID chain stretches like rubber where an EK chain lasts forever. Some valves are sodium filled to disipate heat and there are many grades of steel. Unless you know what the manufactorer makes the valves out of and how much research went into the application in regards to your motorcycle, I would think that the OEM valves although a little more expensive were designed by the factory engineers to function with your bike. Have a Jim Beam and a beer and all will become clear.
Tony if you want them to last go stainless from Serco in QLD they should cost about $47 each, well thats the last time I bought a set. http://www.serco.com.au/
I'm with Rob Tony. What sort of bike is it (beyond being a stinky Honda). When Chris was racing MX all of the guys with four strokes ie YZ's KX's etc used to pull the OEM valves out at the end of the season and replace them with Stainless Valves. The originals were only good for a season before they got pulled back through the head. The stainless ones fixed the problem though and were cheaper.
