Let's take the word ass, as in:

"orrr geez mate, I've got a sunburnt ass from playing backyard cricket in my grundies"

Do you say aaaarrrse like an aussie, or ass like a yank?
So it's either CAAARSLE like an aussie, or it's a big wank.

Um in November last year you guys still had Safeway signs up. that was only 3 months ago
In Bendigo all the Safeway stores have changed their signs to Woolworths, has been like that since before summer, cause thats when I started buying large quantities of beer :partyman: :kuda:

They are Woolworths here now mate, I guess the novely wore off eventually.

I reckon they're potato cakes, can't stand them and I can hear my arteries hardening just thinking about them...however I'm an ex-South Aussie pom (by birth) living in Victoria, so wtf would I know?

AND I ride a Honda.

Who the fuck thinks that 'castle' sounds like 'hassle' ?? You mexicans need basic pronunciation lessons !!

Its a potato 'scallop', because a normal 'scallop' is just that - a scallop.

Potato cake ?? What a load of horseshit !!! no candles, no icing, no layers, and not sliced up. Its about as much a 'cake', as Hoffy is a 'pussy magnet' !!!

Etymology: Middle English, from Old Norse kaka; akin to Old High German kuocho cake
Date: 13th century

1 a : a breadlike food made from a dough or batter that is usually fried or baked in small flat shapes and is often unleavened b : a sweet baked food made from a dough or thick batter usually containing flour and sugar and often shortening, eggs, and a raising agent (as baking powder) c : a flattened usually round mass of food that is baked or fried <a fish cake>
or a potato cake. ;)

Yeah potato cake it is, hard to believe you need to re-learn the english language just cos you travel insterstate ffs, VB is available everywhere so if you drink the beer then you need to learn the lingo too!!! It;s a potato cake, a scallop is a shellfish and a castle is a castle as in Castlemaine, even the banana benders can grasp that!!!

NOT A fookin carstle, that's for the pretend poms in SA.
