ZX7R Ram Air Modifications

Post by omen_child »

Anyone know where to find aftermarket ram air ducts for the zx7r?

I wanna get rid of those big resonators, but i'd rather not butcher my standard tubes if i can avoid it.

Cheers.

The induction noise was a bit louder and I swear the exhaust note went up too. The best thing was the improved throttle response, and they look cool too..:-)
Theres also the weight reduction, theres a huge amount of plastic in the stock duct set up..

$450 is a bit too expensive for my liking. I think i'll get a standard set from wreckers and go about modifying them.

Yep thats what I did originally. I modded the stock ones by removing all the crap under them and ran a strip of tape from the front to the back to block the bottom of the duct and make them straight through.
Then our good mate Mario found a pair of carbon fibre ones for me for $40. One was stuffed so GCC made me a new set at cost cause they couldn't match the carbon weave of the ones I had..
