06 zx6r test ride!

Post by kevindinho »

Hey yall!

I test rode a beautiful black 06 zx6r 2day. It is super clean, super low K's and also completely stock with log books seat cowl and everything!!! The power was good and the ride felt quite comfortable, i felt more on top of the bike and was really high up compared to the zxr250. I love this bike and the price is perfect for me, but the only thing that was a bit of a concern is that the handle bars vibrated quite a bit, is this normal? Ive also tested a 05 R6 and the front end seemed bulkier on the zx6r. Anyways im going to test the 08 R6 2moro and make a decision between the two wooot! :kuda: get the cleanex ready because i have attached a pic of this sexy ass bad boy.

Cheers
Kev

Hey mate
on my zx10r, when i take it into work, by the time i get there my right hand gets numb sometimes.
i guess you just have to get adjusted to it...

it comes n go's but i felt a big difference on the vibrations compared to the 250..

you should test ride a 08 and 09 zx6r if your going to try the 08 R6.

You get used to the vibration but it helps to relax your grip ;) .

Hey kev, my 05 vibrates a bit as well on the handle bars, then when you get in the 8k+ zone you can feel it through the seat. Haven't riden any others so for me it's normal, but talking with cath and rob they said theirs didn't do this.

Haven't done any long trips on it yet but I had a few moments where my fingers were going numb.

make sure the debt isnt on the bike (imcumbent i think its called). if so and u go the r6 then ensure its clear title by paying the debtor not the owner!

adjusting the forks is easy and cheap. dont stress about that if thats all it is.

could also equate, that he hasn't had the funds to maintain the bike properly as well....................

True, it does include log books and 10 months factory warranty. Hmmm better test ride it as well, dont wanna jump into a purchase and regret it.
