Wilf- i had a look at ur 04 model? its also suited for a 100kg rider, check it out

Dude, so not true and be careful jumping to conclusions.

You said on the phone you had no idea what "type" of vibration it was so I'd say best to get someone else to ride it. I've got my front shocks to use all of the travel and I only weight 65kg.

The suspension has adjustment in it, and 75kg sounds like exactly what Kawasaki would use to set their valving etc . Maybe the guy has preload set too stiff or compression damping too much etc, but that still isn't conclusive on what is causing the vibrations. It could be the shocks, it could be engine vibrations, or wheel balance etc :kuda:

I have never met a 100kg asian , even when they are if full leathers the best you'd get would be 45kg
true i shouldn't believe everything on the net  Are you tryna be racist blurr? hat46.gif hat46.gif hat46.gif im 30kg heavier than your 45kg asian target. hahaha my mate @ the gym suggested that it was the springs, maybe the japs targeted it for the US/Aus market for people who a tad overweight....it sounded right though, would you like to come check out the bike as well blurr?

my try at a diagnosis guide:

Wheel balance out: if you ride on a very smooth road and can feel the vibrations thenpull the clutch in and you still get the vibrations irrespective of engine speed.

Forks set too hard/damaged: ride along a bumpy road and every little bump in the road feels like it's coming straight through to the handle bars. A simple adjustment or 2 can fix this during a test ride and be tested again.

Vibrations from engine: ride on smooth road stay in 1st and try to find a particular rev range where the vibrations happen. If found, try in 2nd too. If same rev range then engine vibration - get bigger bar ends.

Nah not trying to be racist just know what the Japs are like when setting target weights for their suspension setup.

Not sure what I would do about checking out your bike but I can certainly test ride it for ya and show you what it can do!!!! :kuda:

holy flappin' horse shit batman! those bar ends look like they are frame sliders!

Ive breifly skimmed over a few posts in the thread as i am a lazy fuck to read it all...but have you tried setting the static sag for your weight and then testing it again before jumping to conclusions? I used to have weird vibrations on the old 6, but after Dave3 helped me set the static sag not only did the bike feel like a totally different ride, but the vibrations were gone...

Ill be doing the same to my new 6 soon, hopefully this fixes it because i dont want to hang shopping bags off my handlebars :kuda:

Never thought having correct sag would eliminate handlebar vibes! They are very handy for shopping or the smash those annoying mirrors whilst filtering  :P jk
