exhaust question need help???

Post by s man »

Is ZX 1200 headers & muffler the same as ZRX 1200?? If there are any diffencers what are they?
Im figure they maybe the the same., or at least interchangable ??
Any thoughts??

From what I can work out, the factory designation for a ZX12R is actually ZX1200. So the answer to your question is no, the headers and muffler are way different from a ZX12R to a ZRX1200.

Happy to be corrected on this though......

Gos is probably right, given that my old gpx750 was referred to as zx750(model letter)(model number) i.e. zx750F1. and the lineage continued with the zxr750.

The ZRX1200 engine is basically a ZZR1200 engine that's been retuned. I don't know what the ZX12 engine was based on though.

the ZX12R motor was a whole new design out of the box. No common ancestry with prior kwakka models at all as far as I know ?
