Important Ticketing Information - Round 9 - Collingwood v Geelong - Friday 21st May - 7:40pm - MCG

The AFL has recently advised that this Friday night's game - Collingwood v Geelong Cats at the MCG - has no general admission seating area.

They are encouraging all fans to purchase a ticket in advance to avoid disappointment, as well as to avoid entry queues on the night.

All seating in the public section of the ground has now been released for sale, with only limited seats remaining at the time of writing this update.

A very limited amount of standing room will be available for general admission members to scan into on the night, however access to standing room will be on a first-in, best-dressed basis and is strictly subject to capacity.

As a result of this general admission members and supporters wishing to attend this match are advised to pre book tickets to guarantee admission and avoid being denied entry to the match.

yeh, it was a great game until 1/2 way through the last quarter ...

talk about finding new and exciting ways to lose a footy match, kicking 2.12 in the second half just killed us. Kudo's to the Cats, they were excellent in defence, helped by the total inability of Leon Davis to get a hand on the footy or apply any pressure at all. Worst game of the year for him, and Heater also had a shocker for his 100th, a game he won't forget for a long time....

Still, I am sure the Pies will take a lot more out of that game than the Handbags, for the most part it was a huge arm-wrestle and very entertaining footy. Just wish we could have made more of the opportunities up forward......

Taking your opportunities is what the game is all about Gos We did and came away with the chocolates. My concern is that normally we lose the H&A game yet win the rematch in the finals, hopefully we don't meet again till the GF then we beat you again, by 1 point this time

The greatest team of all............ 8 premierships is better than a lot of other Clubs though...

....An early VFL powerhouse with six premierships up to 1963, Geelong developed a reputation as an under-achieving club. Despite playing in five losing Grand Finals,four between 1989 & 1995, its fans waited 44 years until it won another premiership....

and to think of all the grief that Piemen have copped when we only waited 32 years for our 1990 flag ! yes, the Pies have played in more losing GF's - but that means we have gotten to more GF's in the first place....

the 90's aren't that long ago - I remember them well !!!
