Bike is squeaking again, this time i've narrowed it down to the wheels or possibly the chain or i dont know. I dont really know anything about taking wheels off and bearing lubrication...
It starts squeaking above 30 km/h and progresses with speed only. I've shut off the engine (on the freeway) and listened to it whilst rolling along at 70 and it still squeaks until about 30 km/h. Also jammed the breaks on and off to make sure they weren't rubbing.
Last time the problem was the chain squeaking but a quick lube fixed it. Not this time.
The chain is lubed up more than a hooker on saturday night but could it still be squeaking if its dirty and lubed?
Could it be the wheel bearings...i have no idea in this case. Or something else....
cheers

If your chain is knackered it could still be squeeking.
Wheel bearings...... doubt it, suspension .... possibly,
My road bike has developed a squeak in the suspension linkages, only one way to fix that properly will be a strip down.

Son's FZR started to do that; took the rear shocker out and greased the bushes - all squeaking gone now. 1 hour (I'm slow) and 3 Coopers (I was also thirsty).

Thanks Rob.

When I turned 64, (last year) I also heard squeeeeking noises. I decided to invest in ear plugs but that only made it worse. The best cure is a couple of shots of JB with a fine Aussie brew, plus oiling your farking worn out chain won't hurt ether. If you cannot afford chain lube, drink a lot of olive oil and when you have to shit, shit on the chain.
