Crim brake shudder?
Hey peoples, my crim has developed low speed front brake shudder. Just checking if it could be anything cheaper than a warped rotor before I fork out for some new ones? oh yeah and is there an easy way to tell for sure?

Real bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway.

Re: Crim brake shudder?
Is that under real heavy braking, or just normal day to day riding?

It's during every day riding, and you can only feel it as the speed falls toward walking pace.

Check the pads are within wear limit & disks too (printed on the surface), sounds like a disk could be warped..... funny that from full floating disks

I know the pads are getting down. I have a new set waiting to go in. If it's the pads can I assume that the shudder will go as soon as the new pads go in?

Check the steering head bearings are tight, you usually get a bit of shudder with low speed braking when they're getting a bit loose
