Hey guys. I got one! I am now the proud owner of an 05 ZRX 1200R Thanks for the link s man. It's the one that was for sale in Hervey Bay. I flew up there, bought it & rode back to Sydney. It's in absolutely immaculate condition, cant believe my luck! What an awesome machine! REX RULES! Paid eight for it and am very happy. When I bought it, there was less than twelve thousand on the clock. Now (just a few days later) there is nearly thirteen! Ha! It's a long way from Hervey Bay to Sydney! So now I have to give it a major service. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic? What should it cost roughly for the twelve thousand K sevice, on one of these freakin awesome machines? I've just got back from Hervey Bay & all I want to do is go for another ride! Not interested in anything else - the wifes not happy! Ha Ha!

87,000 k's or there abouts. I last raced @ All Bikes late last year, still pulled high 10's no worries.

She dyno'ed last year @ 132 Rwhp on a Dyno Dynamics machine, they are known to read 8% lower than the DynoJet dyno's, so she still has the goods in middle age.

Good enough keep Blackbird's honest up to about 200kph, actually had more HP then one on the Dyno Day . We ran 70 bikes back to back, the ZRX got pipped out of Naked honours by a modded FZ1 , with 15,000k,s on it.

Good on ya wilco39! It did look like a pretty well looked after bike.
The Ks & the condition cannot be faulted. 8k for an 05 is probably getting towards top dollar, but you dont mind paying a little extra for such a good example.
I cant recommend a good spanner in Sydney, but Im sure someone on here will know one you can trust.

Ha Ha! I'm happy with the Yoshi thanks mate! I've got a question though. How come some Rexs have Ohlins & mine has KYB? Did different models have different shocks or could mine be aftermarket jobs?

No, yours is as they come from the factory

And there are several different spec Ohlins as well
