zx7r bracket dealy

Post by 98ninja »

ive got a few days off work so
i pulled the zx7 apart to raise the rear ride height.
i took the subframe and the tank off to get at the adjuster for the rear ride height.
i undid the top nut and jacked up the bike from underneath and ive got the adjustment i want.
but stupid me cant remember whether the bracket with a lip on it that goes under the top adjuster nut
should point backwards or forwards. is the lip meant to support the tank at the front? or point towards the back wheel?
i can post a photo if the above doesnt make sense

Sorry if I'm not even close here as I'm an owner of a 9 and not a 7, but does this help?

The tank is about 6 inches away from the ride height adjuster. The tank is supported by the steel frame thats sits across the subframe. Just took my tank off on the weekend and noticed the rubber bungs on the bottom of my tank are gone. Bloody mechanics.....probably took them off because they were interfering with the fuel line.....lazy pricks.....sorry bit off topic....

Pic would be good ?
Try making it before you buy it.
