Front Stand for 2006 ZX10R

Post by Mad RS »

Hey Guys,
I already have a rear stand for the Gumby but now that I am mucking around with the front end I need to get a front stand. I'm looking at getting one that lifts from the head stock but most say that they may come in contact with the body on some models.

Anyone used a head stock lift on a Gumby?? Is there clearence issues??

Cheers

Yep and yep. Although the 6006 model is a hoverbike isn't it???????? :)

I've got a Kaneg headlift but you have to remove the front fairing or it lifts by the nose. I've seen Andersons and I think they are pretty good

Or, alternatively if Murray Sharp is still making his stuff try a Sharp Racing Stand. They are a really high quality bit of kit! Murray makes very nice stuff. I still have one of his stands which was the original that came with my race bike when I bought it in 1996! It still works perfectly, nothing has broken, although the powder coating is starting to scratch up on the bottom os the stand. But hey, 14 years of heavy use and it still does what it should, is testament I reckon to the quality.

I learnt this from a mate who is a mechanic : use a phillps-head or similar to push down on the head of the riv-nut, and they pop striaght undone.
