Noisy Brakes

Post by Z1000 »

Hi all,

Just lately I have noticed that my brakes are becoming "squeaky" when they are applied lightly. If I really grab a handful for some reason then they don't squeak.

Apart from cleaning them, which I have done, does this lead to the point where the pads should be changed. The pads are only 2 years and done about 10,000kms. Looking at them they have plenty of meat left...

Do anyone have a solution to this, apart from replacing the pads?

Thanks in advance... :)

It takes two minutes to pull the brakes off and check to see if they need to be replaced. That's the first thing I'd be doing.
