Buying a ZX2R ?

Post by iamvinhy »

Anyone know any good places in Sydney to buy late model ZX2R's ?
C model ..

I was thinking of buying from Victoria as theres a few that I like..
what would be the price of freight?

I know from a Queensland store they offer $100 freight and will also
colour the bike to any colour you like..

Any ideas ?

For i=1,1000000
print{"Do not buy a grey-import four-cylinder four-stroke sports 250 from a dealer."};
endfor;

That should make it sink in. Buy private and get a bike which will have had most of its issues dealt with (otherwise the current owner wouldn't've gotten very far on it), and which will offset its less-than-spiffy cosmetics with an asking price of the order of a couple of grand less compared to a dealer-bought bike.

I seriously doubt this board would allow you to write in PHP. Imagine the damage you could do.

I have to say I'm glad it didn't work. Seeing that statement 1000000 time would've been a bit annoying :x

Ummm, how could it have? It'd be a pretty lobotomised forum package which just slurped up and exceuted whatever code was passed to it in a posting. This quite apart from my syntax being pretty sloppy, anyway... 8)

pontikat, i-k was just referring to staying the hell away from dealers bearing 4 cyl 250cc sportsbikes. Be it for how the bikes are condition wise, or the condition of your wallet after buying one of those over-priced bastards (although not all dealers are (in)equal) ).

I beg to differ, on the qulity issue anyway.
$5K was prob a bit too much for my ZX2 but its in great nick.
supsensions a bit soft and there's a couple of stone chips that have been bogged up, but it rode really well on sunday.

it was advertised for $6,250 from spot on motorcycles on elizabeth st in melb.
i got it for under 6 with 12m reg, helmet, jacket and gloves.

they deal mainly with bigger bikes and got it on a trade in, they just wanted to get rid of it.

cheers, vince
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
