Hey Guys,
Went to update the firmware on my PCIII the other night and didn't realise you needed the 9v power to do it aswell (never got anything bad the PCIII when i bought the bike) and I was wondering where can I find one of the 9v Power commander adapters in Aus?
I found one on the US site here but would prefer to grab on in AUS somewhere but can't seem to find anyone that stocks them?
To be honest I don't really even need the Power commander (only have race baffles) and thought I would just update the firmware before selling it..
Thanks in advance.

Re: PCIII 9v Power Programming Module
I just do it with the bike running..
but depending on which firmware you have in it, you may not be able to upgrade it...

Nah tried with the bike running, but it kills the power when you try to update the firmware.. So now the PC isn't working as it technically has no firmware, and bike doesn't start with it in...MadKaw wrote:I just do it with the bike running..

Re: PCIII 9v Power Programming Module
Sorry about the slow response. You probably already have found the adapter. If not make your own. The PCIII only uses two of the 10 connectors for power. Go to an electronics supply store and buy a little connector that will slip on each of the pins on the PCIII and soldier the connectors via wire to the ends to the 9v battery and to the connectors. Looking at the top of the PCIII with the injector connector cable to your right; on the bottom row of 5 pins the far left pin is the positve connector. On the top row of 5 pins the far right connector is the negative pin. Beware of a low 9v battery as it has the potential to cause a massive malfunction of the PCIII. It caused mine to go into a state that I had a hell of a time correcting. As with all things a shot and a good beer will make all mechanical things less complex.
