Reg/rec question

My partner just picked up a new bike; it's a GSX250F (that's the Across). The Reg/rec is rooted, and I'm ringing around tomorrow for a new/second-hand one. Just wondering, if Vic Motorcycle Wreckers can't get me a GSX250F one, is it really going to be that different to a 250 Bandit? Or come to think of it, any other 250? 3 leads in, 2 leads out, AC in, DC out, 60V @8000rpm in, 14V out? While I'm whingeing, why does the Across have a wet, gear driven alternator? And a little access hatch over the fuel filler? And why does my Sprint only have 120 hp? Why do car drivers hate motorcyclists? Why does the government hate motorcyclists? Why is the Powelltown road so slippery in the wet?

Sorry... back to the reg/rec... any thoughts?

Try finding the original part number for your bike and cross reference with others...easy, peazy...

Yep. Tried that... and when my brain melted with frustration...

I can't find a part number listed! I thought Triumphs were painful!
