Cast iron discs

Post by greenman43 »

Is anybody running them on the track ? If so, what pads are you using ?

Cheers,

Do not walk behind me, for I may not be leading
Do not walk in front of me, for I may not be following
Do not walk alongside me, for the path may be narrow
Just piss off and leave me alone

Yes i use the braketech cast iron discs

I was recommend to run the Ferodo CP211 carbon ceramic pads, very good pads but do need regualar up keep to keep them working well.

Just scouring the pads on some emery paper to stop them glazing...

If i did it again and when i need new pads i will go with the second link...

The slightest bit of moisture in the air causes the fresh rotor surface to rust and oxidise, don't even think of riding in the rain or trailering on open trailer if wet...

Gotcha, thanks very much. I've had this type of disc before on my old ZXR, and they certainly weren't a pretty sight after a touch of rain ...
