Squiding on hot days

It all depends on where and how you are riding. I have been guilty of joggers, shorts and T-shirt just nipping down to the shops on a hot day but I wouldn't think of going for a decent ride without full leathers. It's all about minimising the risk so if you have no gear on you ride accordingly and keep the speed down and your eyes open for any hazards.

+ 1 Nelso, exactly what I reckon......... My work and local shops are 25 klms away with no multi lane roads and no traffic lights, so I calculate the risk and ride accodingly gotta love a T shirt flapping in the wind and rising up your back

Being new to the game i've always worn the gear, leather jacket,gautlet gloves over the ankle boots and if i'm feeling rebellious i'll wear normal jeans instead of the draggins .I feel weird riding in sneakers!
Freedom of choice i guess.Can't help cringing though when i see someone on an R1 or gixer in shorts ,slip on shoes and no shirt.Got their helmet on of course.Can't mess with the face man.

Has anyone noticed the add on TV with Wayne Gardner and Keiren Perkins that they show a couple on the back of a sports bike in a T-Shirt and Shorts?? I would have hoped that the image would have been picked up and edited out of the add. Especially when it is an add about the safety of motorbike riders.

A little disappointed there.

my last episode of bitumen surfing (10 years+ ago ) still gives me grief
my knee can forecast the weather and the weekly physio hurts like fuck
I have been told this will continue until I go into a wheel chair (and a nonwalking future is a definite)
