Full system :06 ZX6R

Post by zxsixr03 »

Does the RAD have to come off to fit new headers on a 2006 ZX6R?
Cheers

If its like my 08 zx10r there is just enough room to unbolt the radiator on the bottom and tilt it forward but if you have massive hands it may be harder. (hahah that sounds dirty :D )

When we did Tim's 08 we just unbolted the bottom mount and tilted it forward. There was plenty of room.

Yarp, I've done it twice, did someone say headers? This thread needs some pictures. 8)

Nice, mine don't have the springs to the engine, most systems ive seen do, hope this won't be a issue...

The springs don't go to the engine, they go to a flange that you screw onto the engine. Note the oil on the engine block, I'm glad the rocker cover gasket went and was repaired under warranty before I got my full system :kuda: (the old headers got covered in oil)
