I ride a 2000 model zx9r which is just in for its 30k service.

Oh yeah, I live in Sydney and am looking to do a track day soon, any going?

Take the shock to Terry Hay at Shock Treatment in Mulgoa and he will rebuild, revalve and put a new spring to suit your weight in it for less than a new one will cost..Roly_ZX9eer wrote:HI Roly's me name, just registered.

Problem is when adjusting the rebound I used too big a screw driver and managed to strip the thread. The shock is now permently adjusted to its hardest setting unless I replace the shock. A brand newie will cost about $1500, not an option. The bloke's gonna try and replace it with a second hand one from a wreckers. The thing is its prob only a adjusting rod in the shock that needs to be replaced but they don't make that part individually so I gotta buy the whole shock
. Any ideas or anyone with a crashed 9 prepared to sell me a part?
