Yep "Tyre Buff" is the product you are after. I bought a can off Craig White (WRP) for $15 a couple of years ago and still have heaps left. I quick wipe around the tyre mainly towards the edges, 1 to 2 revolutions, and it should be right to go. I fitted a new front on my 9 for the last race at the BSFoS and didn't have any problems during the out lap and had it well and truly scrubbed by the time I lined up on the grid.Maddog wrote:Acetone will do the job too..
Or scuff em with a bit of sand paper if ya like.
Most shops that fit your tyres will use a product...(Tyre Buff..I think it's called...anyone know for sure??)
But certainly take it easy getting on the gas for the first few corners/laps..
Are you using warmers.?
