Intro from a new member
Hi all, just a quick notew to say Gidday. I met Dave (la moderator) a million years or so ago, and I've only just got round to joining the site.
I'm based in a Sydney, 40-something (I prefer 30-something-something more), and work for a bank (I'm a nice bloke in spite of that). I used to race a ZXR 750 superbike, which I owned from new ; I still have it, and when the money allows I throw a few more dollars at it. It's now used for occasional track days only, but if the cashflow ever allows it I'd like to go back to racing again.
Cheers,
Brian

Do not walk behind me, for I may not be leading
Do not walk in front of me, for I may not be following
Do not walk alongside me, for the path may be narrow
Just piss off and leave me alone

re: Intro from a new member
Thanks to all for the kind welcome, it's nice to feel wanted (ish)
Dave, not too much to report since last time I saw you (maybe a couple of years back?). On the home front, remarkably I haven't changed jobs (I'm as surprised as anyone), the most interesting thing is that I'm now a (step)grandfather. And before you ask, yes, I do feel very old. Congrats on the family thing to yourself and Jus, I just hope you've got a TV now to save yourself some money in the long term.
For the most part he bike has been very reliable (at least since it threw the rod at PI), but I still suffer occasional electric gremlins ; I suspect there may be a part or two in there provided by a Ducati contractor. While I haven't kept racing, I have kept throwing time and money at the bike, and the power:weight thing is at some pretty good numbers. It's just a shame I can't ride out of sight on a dark night ; probably the worst part is when I manage to remove anotrher 50g or so, and celebrate with pizza and numerous beers.
Cheers,
Brian

Yep, the TV is now the only thing getting a work out in the bedroom these days..
Congrats on becoming a step grandfather and yes it does it make you sound old.. Pitty as your not that much older than me...
It may be a good idea to post the info about your bike on here so ppl can see what you've done with it and perhaps understand the infatuation and dedication you have (thats a nice way of saying your insane..
)... I know it will be a large post but I'm sure we have the bandwidth...
