There's always one......argh!

Post by StuMiller »

I awoke to a beautiful day here in Hobart today, so I deceided I'd take the bike to work.

Riding up the highway was going great, then I came to a near stop, in two lanes of traffic.

Ah, no problems, I'll do some lane splitting. Been hanging out for this, but there so few humans here, there's very little traffic.

So off I head, down the middle of the two lanes of traffic. Some cars pull out of the way to let me through (thanks!) and there is always one. I guy driving a white X-trail pulls across to block my path.

So I sit in behind him for a while and he starts pointing and waving and shouting, whilst driving in front of me. I change lanes and pull up beside him and he has very nearly changed lanes and pushed me out of the lane I was in.

I lift me visor, give him a spray and then head down, kept riding. An opportunity opened up for me to take off and clear away from this clown and across he comes again....frontbum!

Anyway, his lane brakes, mine kept going, another opening appears, down a gear I go and away I went. All safe and sound.

I should of taken his mirror off on my way through....asshole!

Wat possible advantage would this idiot have achieved by blocking you? how does it affect him in any way if you lane-split?

what a dickhead.

I've had a guy open his door on me sitting in stopped traffic  I held down my horn right next to his drivers door until he closed it then gave him the finger as I passed him

Nah.......all he needs to do is get ur number plate and then u could get done for leave the scene of an accident if you take his mirror off.

Happen to me once when i was sitting in traffic and this bike flew past at like 45-50km/h ....now im guilty of lane splitting every day but i go at a slow pace to giv me time to stop for like idiots you just come across but this guy flew.........and rest assure he got dun be the 'Fuzz" with a fine/points and the cost to fix me electric mirror.

You best bet to do for muppets like that is to have some pieces of gravel / ashphelt / bitumen and put em in ur bike pocket ....and if ever idiots do something like that to u or cut u off or watever else stupid just get in front of them and fling a few rocks in the air behind you........they are sure to chip a windsreen or a couple dints / scratches on the bonnet.........and no way to prove it was you

I had this happen, however it was in a carpark and the kid jumped out of the car and hit me! Ripping a door off is WAY more satisfying, trust me :)
