Tyre question?
How u all going just a quick question bout tyres .I usually put pilot powers on my zx14 not real stable don't last long but have a real fast tip in good for the granya gap and roads like that.I tried rosso 2 they had plenty of grip and were really stable but felt like i was riding on wood no feel and made the 14 turn like a mack truck.Any how just wondering what other tyres would have the same fast tip in as a pilot powers.these tyres will only be used on the road and i ride fairly fast ? Ideally i would like a stable tyre with real fast tip in

Re: Tyre question?
I Run some 003 bridgestones on the nine during the dryer months ,and they will probably wear better than the pilot powers.

Re: Tyre question?
I also run these on my track bike and for road use im pretty sure you would be happy with them. They were originally designed for track /street and the profile of the tyre shows that. Gotta love Granya Gapsillywilly wrote:Do the 003 have a fast tip in?

Re: Tyre question?
There's a heap of us that run M5's on ZRXs and Z1000s with no issues. I find them a shit load better than Pilot Powers, which turned to liquorice as soon as it got hot. As long as you run the right profile and pressure, all sport tyres should tip in fine.

I've a set of Q2's due to arrive on the door step tomorrow. Been itching to give them a whirl for ages!
I'll report on how I find them!

Re: Tyre question?
U are right about the powers nelso get a bit slimy when hot but the sharp profile makes the zx14 turn bit faster i like how they make the bike fall into the corners . I always run 55 the rosso 2 were terrible i used no feel at all and slow tip in. I might have to try these m5 cheers nelso

Re: Tyre question?
Q2 tip in super fast but the rear last as long as 16 year old in a playboy mansion.
Bridgestone bt016's shred the front quickly.
M5,s not sure
M3's are meant to be fine on barges
That fact is that on a big bike with that much power you need to expect shorter tyre life from sports tyres if you are riding it correctly.
However if your Steve S you seem to get 20k kms from Pirelli superbike pros
