Restricting ER6n

Post by Quarkz »

Hi guys,

I have a 2006 ER6n that I currently have for sale. This bike is not LAMS approved as it was manufactured before Australia brought that in. I have someone interested in purchasing it but they need to it to be restricted, and they're willing to pay me to get this done if possible. Is there anyway I can take the bike somewhere to get it restricted and make it LAMS approved?

Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Not in QLD unfortunately. You're stuck with it which ever way it came out. :(

If it's for your little bloke, you're going to need training wheels and a rope ladder too...

I spoke to Kawasaki about this last week. If you were to modify the bike to produce power in accordance with LAMS restrictions you would need to get the bike inspected by an engineer to rework the registration papers and it's very costly and definitely not worth it.

Sad thing is restriction on the ER6n is a screw and an electrical plug. Cheap and that is it.
