Post by dilligaf »

Was at Kathmandu today buying walking shoes and saw they had quite a lot of thermals, including merino stuff, on sale.
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

i used to work at Kathmandu and bought a fair bit of gear

The thin Merino wool 200gsm gloves are excelllent under your normal gloves in the winter
the kathmandu brand standard waterproof/windproof ski gloves are great on the bike too
as for the Thermals, definately worth paying the extra for the UltraCore brand thermals, i use the long johns, and its like wrapping your legs in foil, very toasty.
I also purchased one of those Gortex jackets, totally waterproof and windproof, have done easily 50,000km with that over all my gear. rolls up real small too
Lastley, the Kathmandu brand waterproof pants are really good too and also roll up real small.

anyway.... i use this gear and highly recommend it

cheers
