No "reminder" email arrived on the 9th (10 days before due date).
Next one is a SMS two days before due date ... I wait with anticipation
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

the only fail is needing to be reminded......when you already know the expiry date !!!!
In NSW - just like every other jurisdiction - you can pay in advance of the expiry date. It doesn't cost any more and the rego period is exactly the same as if you walked into the RTA on the last day and paid in ca$h.......so no need to wait for any reminders, just pay on-line anytime within the month prior to expiry date and bazinga......rego covered.
".....shut the gate on this one Maxie......it's the ducks guts !!............."
You misunderstand, Dave ... I KNOW when it's due, and will renew in time - I'm just interested in whether RMS have their arse-covering solution for forgetful numbnuts fully sorted.
So far, it appears not.

Are you certain of every jurisdiction and would that be for all vehicles?
if so thats awesome and I will pay for 10 years worth and put a postit note with the expiry date where I use to have the rego label.... in an unopened envelope in the glovebox
Well there is technicalities there Jonno.
After 5 years, your vehicle needs a rego inspection (nsw) and a pink slip (rego inspection) is only valid for 30days.
So it's a bit hard to get that done on advance...
However, my work car was delivered with 3 years worth of rego already paid up. So for light vehicles, yes it must be possible to pay ahead.

Yes - but if you want 6 months rego, the pink slip is good for 12 months.

In SA Vic Qld not sure on on the others but NT would be simular to SA? you dont need inspections unless you transfer ownership as a registered vehicle or so was the case when I lived in those states, except in SA where that doesnt apply unless its from out of state.
i will also look into advance reg payments here too, can do it with the licence at anytime.
Ok can only do additional 3 or 12 months reg online .
Yeah and NSW has a very complicated system.

You needed to read that a bit more carefully Jonno
Seriously, I think you need to read some more at sa.ezyilyreg, dot fakedup.gov and see how it is for others that live in this country not just on the east coast aye
Come back when you understand or at least informed just a bit mate
