re: Accelerator Cable
I've never done a throttle cable in 30 odd years of road, track and dirt bikes. Sounds like you might have a problem with the routing or something else.
Do they all snap in the same spot?

Re: Accelerator Cable
It must be the way it is routed through the frame or under the tank, might be getting a kink and placing extra stress on it. Just my $0.20zxsixr03 wrote:How many have u guys been through?? this will my 3rd in the 3yrs why is this as their not cheap $100 a pop, i like the throttle with nearly no play and nice and snappy would this contribute...

re: Accelerator Cable
Are you keeping the cable lubed ? Once a year I squirt a bit of chain lube down mine ; improves both life and feel, definitely recommended.

re: Accelerator Cable
Have you looked into Nylon cables? They're a tad more expensive than traditional steel but last longer. Is the $100+ including fitting? Seems a bit on the steep side.
