Re: Lawson - Legend
there is a really good series on Speed at the moment called The Unrideables. All about 500cc fair dinkum GP bikes not 4T diesels
Eddie featured a lot on the episode last night - it was about the Rainey years. Really good footage, was watching some of the old races and actually remembering how good the Rainey/Schwantz rivalry was. Totally epic.

Re: Lawson - Legend
Those battles between Rainey / Schwantz / Lawson / Gardner was what hooked me on bike racing, it is just not quite the same anymore. Still have to appreciate how good the modern guys are but the 80 and early 90's were the halcyon days AFAIC.

Re: Lawson - Legend
I know this is completely pointless, but i'm new...
I was looking through my workshop manuals and found the difference between the Eddie Lawson Z1000J race bike replica and the standard Z1000J was the rake.
Turns out the rake on the race replica is the same as the GPz1100B1
So theoretically, if you wanted to build an Eddie Lawson replica you could use a B1 frame as a base and get a more accurately handling machine.
See, pointless.

He looks so green man!
Great series, fox is also redoing the Motorcycle GP Classics series again at the moment. Watching this makes me feel old, I remember watching most of it live back in the day.....
